Sebastian De Souza
Sebastian de Souza is an actor, writer and musician. As an actor, he began his career playing the title role of Matty in E4’s Bafta-Award winning teen drama Skins. Following that, he starred in Neil Jordan’s Emmy-Award winning ‘The Borgias’ alongside Jeremy Irons and Holliday Grainger. He played Milo in the Ealing Studios coming-of-age drama ‘Kids In Love’, opposite Will Poulter and Cara Delevingne. Sebastian also co-wrote the film. Sebastian can currently be seen playing Sandro Botticelli in ‘Medici: Masters of Florence’, a Netflix Original Series; as Gareth in Oscar-nominated Lenny Abrahamson’s adaptation of Sally Rooney’s best-selling novel ‘Normal People' for the BBC and Hulu; and playing the title role of Leo in ‘The Great’ for Hulu, opposite Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, written by Tony Macnamara, who was Oscar-nominated and won the BAFTA for 'The Favourite'.
Sebastian’s professional writing career began aged 19 when he co-wrote the Ealing Studios coming-of-age drama ‘Kids In Love’. He currently has a YA TV show in development and his play ‘Hammersmith & City’ will debut next year. ‘Kid – A History of The Future’ is his first novel and will be published by Offliner Press in February 2021.
Sebastian is a singer-songwriter and composer. The Serial release of his novel ‘Kid – A History of the Future’ will be accompanied by the weekly release of the world’s first ‘PodOpera’ – an immersive auditory experience. Half audiobook, half musical, this innovative content series will tell the story of Kid in a way no story has ever been told before. All original songs and an original score will be co-written by Sebastian.
